Announcements
Neurofibromatosis is the most common neurological genetic condition, affecting
more people than Muscular Dystrophy, Tay-Sachs, and Huntington's disease
combined. Half of individuals affected by NF inherit itfrom their parents. The other half
acquire NF by spontaneous mutation. Unpredictable, NF can affect each patient
differently.

Some effects of this disorder include: tumor growth, cancer, learning disabilities,
bone deformities, disfigurement, hearing loss, epilepsy, and vision impairment.
